Testimony Pt. 1:

First Tumblr post, September 2015.

“Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises. And because of Abraham’s faith, God counted him as righteous.” Romans 4:20-22 NLT

Let’s rewind 10 years to 2015. Welcome to the Tumblr era where, by the grace of God, 21-year-old me perceived an assignment that would surely come to pass…10 years later.

In September of 2015, I started a blog on Tumblr named “I’m Fully Convinced”. I completely forgot about this blog until recently, when my sister reminded me. This reminder came a few days after I felt an impression that I should start documenting my journey, lessons and testimonies.

In 2015 I was a senior in college (HU!). I went on to continue blogging and reposting scriptures and encouragement through the end of 2016, shortly after I graduated. Sadly, the posts began to dwindle in 2016 (I was reposting scriptures on one account and trying to process a relationship and breakup on a private Tumblr account - tragic).

2.5 years ago, by the grace of God, I finally became aware that God was knocking on the door of my heart, drawing me unto himself.

To understand the significance of this, there’s a few things you should know about my background. I was blessed to grow up in a family and around a beautiful community of people who love the Lord. As a PK, I regularly attended church service on Sunday, prayer meetings, Youth camp, etc. During college and post-college, I’d say religion was more of a routine than a relationship for me, as I was not consistent with prioritizing personal quiet time. In the summer of 2022, I had a strong conviction to prioritize time with God, and on July 27th, 2022, I started having weekly bible study with a friend (which God used to rescue me, literally. More on that later).

Throughout the years, I oftentimes found myself waking up around 3AM. Not understanding the significance, I’d just go back to sleep. On July 30th, 2022, in my little studio apartment in San Francisco, I woke up at 3:30AM, and before I could close my eyes to fall back asleep, I heard a loud knock at my door. I walked over to the door, looked at the peephole and saw no one. I even opened the door because the knocking was so distinct. No one was there. I went back to bed and closed my eyes, and the Holy Spirit reminded me of Revelation 3:20. From that night on, I knew I had an appointment to dine with Him. Sometimes that looked like prayer, sometimes worship, and other times meditation, but always a time where I was being rooted and built up in Him. This encounter totally transformed my life. In 2015, I claimed I was fully convinced, but now, I can say from the depths of my spirit, I am fully convinced that God is able to do whatever He promises.

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3:20 KJV

If you hear and open, He will come in. This scripture reminds me of the story of Moses in Exodus 3:3-4. Scripture saysAnd Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.” Scripture says when the Lord saw that Moses turned aside to see, He called unto him. My prayer for you all is that from today you will be aware when God is revealing Himself to you. Whether it be a knock, still, small voice, or in the release of an angel with a violent earthquake, you will know His voice and your life will never be the same!

That’s my testimony…well a small part of it - you ain’t heard nothing yet!

Fully convinced,

Abigail

“And where there was dead religion,
now there is living faith.
All of my hope and freedom
are found in Jesus name.
Just like Lazarus,
You brought me back to life!”
